In order to infer the unperturbed pressure and temperature distribution of the reservoir fluid, a substantial amount of multidisciplinary information corresponding to 42 wells from the Los Humeros geothermal field was analyzed. On the basis of such information one- and two-dimensional models of the reservoir initial state were developed. These models reveal the existence of at least two reservoirs. The first and shallower reservoir is located between 1600 and 1025 m.a.s.l. and is liquid-dominated. The pressure profile of this reservoir exhibits the characteristics of a boiling water column between 300 and 330°C approximately. The second reservoir is located below 850 m.a.s.l. and extends to at least 100 m.a.s.l. It may be regarded as a low saturation liquid reservoir. Temperatures between 300 and 400°C were estimated for the wells that are fed from this part of the field.
